Just to confuse the issue, your 2nd Trustee can be anyone over 18 and can even be your "Employer", if they are "related" to you.

The company that will be your SMSF should have no other role. It should exist solely to be trustee of your SMSF. You may be the sole Director. If you have a 2nd Director make sure that the 2nd Director is not your "Employer". The number of Directors available is limited to 2.
